Hi Shirley

Amaurobius similis is a widespread spider which is often to be found on the outside of house walls, fences, outhouses under rubble/debris etc, but it can also be found indoors. You can see information at the summary page.

Hi, I have just found what I think is this spider in my house. I know it is not a common house spider and was wondering if they do normally come into houses. It came from behind the curtain and moved slowly compared to a normal house spider which would have bolted when disturbed! Can anyone give me any information about it please?
