Hello,
I found a female wasp spider in its web in a newly created wildflower meadow area in a local recreation park. It was only prepared and sown last autumn so this is its first summer of growth - already crickets and grasshoppers have moved in. I've not been aware of wasp spiders in the locality before, they possible already exist in adjacent allotment sites. Whether it will produce eggs remains to be seen, but I am wondering what the lifespan of this species is - do they grow from spiderling to fully-grown over the course of one spring and summer?
Thank you.
Chris
