Status: Wildlife Trust reserve

Access:

Summary: Western end of Pleasley vale gorge.

Description: Deciduous wooded slope and rank grassland adjacent to River Meden with footpath in between. Sparse understory in wooded areas. Less rocky features compared with Little Matlock (eastern end of gorge).

Reason for interest: Formerly site supporting water vole.
