DistributionAnyphaena numida was first recorded in Britain from Gunnersbury, North London in 2017. It has now spread in the London area and to Easthampstead, Berkshire. This species is of Mediterranean origin and has probably been introduced to Britain on imported plants. In continental Europe it has been recorded from Spain, Portugal and France.
Habitat and ecology
As with other members of the genus, A. numida is found on the foliage of shrubs and trees. Records in Britain come from grazing marsh, deciduous woodland and various grasslands. It is an autumn maturing species with adults present from August to January and peak abundance in October and November.
