DistributionThe species is widespread in most of Britain, possibly becoming more scattered in the north. It is widespread in western and central Europe.
Habitat and ecology
The spider is similar in size and coloration to E. atra. An equally common aeronaut, it occurs in a similarly wide range of habitats. Adults can be found all through the year, with peak numbers in summer.
Status
Very common.
